50 dollars for a greenfields walk behind slasher self propelled bns.
apparently the motor is not siezed. But not used for a while.
Is this a good deal? as i have do a bit of driving for this one. But i dont have one? and feel that i need two.

If you got work for it or can sell it, it could be a bargain. They were well made units. Worst case do a transplant .....

I dont know whats wrong with me I just want it! the pics look good not too toasty, this would make 37 in the quiver. And too many things in the works. Am thinking of an aboriginal themed mower, havent seen any of those. Want to do restos different like.

8hp motor info is hard to find. what other motors could i put on it? just spoke to the fella who is letting it go and he recons the starter pulls ok. but no go?
But. are 8hp bns hard to work on?
I am quietly exited about this one.
The bitch is not happy.
Will find somewhere to put the tent up for her for the night, when we get there.
This will be my first real road trip.

funny you say that i was going to take my 9inch just in case. going up and down mcquarie pass will test my tie down abilities. i have seen the size of this sucker. I am taking my mechanic mate with me 14 mm to get the handles off he recons?? we will see(he who corrected my prenunciation of amplion/ampilon. whatever) so it should be interesting.

Just got it home. the motor seems ok but i think it is stuck in drive for when i pull the starter the pulleys and belts move, is this supposed to happen? all the levers are siezed. will free them all up and have another look.
He was kind enough to let me know that i should not look under the tarp he was pointing too.

Wouldnt let it go he recons he says he is moving to a farm and will use it. NOOOOO.

well it will if the levers are seied up , and rust on the pulleys wont help too , give it a good lube up , let it rest and see how ya go .
those things are amazing what they can slash too , the last one i think might have had skids on the cutting deck or maybe i got the wrong machine but even small trees werent a worry

That last one is a Heavycut slasher, derived from the old Mobilco Heavycut unit after Mobilco was shut down around 1977. Not much can stop one of these!

As vccomm has said, it should have at least one skid fitted, to control the height of cut.
