All,
I am currently doing a resto on an old SB45 and have the following parts required but having significant trouble locating many of the items via the search option:

I've created the table below based on my motor model nuber 60202 and serial number 6902053 - built 5th Feb 1969. It is type 0198. The following link takes me to the illustrated parts list thanks to a very helpful couple gents on this forum: http://bsintek.basco.com/BriggsDocumentDisplay/Z6jmsHVJ1DajI.pdf

Any help filling in the below would be of huge assistance. Obviously those that have a cost against them i have managed to find on the supplies section. Also the magneto is in question - the wire has broken and I'm confused as to which magneto is the correct part.

Description Item # Part # Cost $
muffler 299 392811 $20.55
magneto 333 298502
throttle link 201 260898
spring 209 260041 $4.60
fuel grommet 11 66578
breather tube 528
fuel grommet 529
Air ftr housing 536
Air Filter 535
Bolt 534
Fueltank gasket 191 27911

I think you need to have that correspondence with the on-line parts store, not with the repair forum.

Grumpy is right, as regards new parts.

However, if the coil needs to be replaced, we usually recommend fitting a secondhand post-1982 'Magnetron' coil/ignition module unit. This does away with the points and condensor, and the need to service those items. A unit off any post-'82 4hp or less Briggs engine will fit.

Cheers,
Gadge
