Hi, cleaning up under the house and moved a full crank motor with the remains of a plastic carb body attached and no muffler. Upon closed examination, the piston is scored and the rings jammed in the grooves. My question is: I have a brand new, in the box piston for a half crank motor. Is it possible to retro fit into a full crank motor? Thanks in advance!

Hi Dieselboy,
The full crank 160cc pistons fit the powertorque motors and are the same piston up to a certain year(not sure which year though).
This extract from the victa bible should help you out, just compare your ports and see which ones you have then you'll know if you can go ahead or not. Remember to fit the piston with the ring locating pins facing the inlet side.

Ha ha! Pulled off the cylinder.....to find.......a little scored piston.......125cc! If I can get hold of a 160cc piston, cylinder and head, will they fit straight on?

Dont think so. the sleeves are bigger on the 160 so the crankcases are as well.

Thanks... Of course they won't interchange! Silly bugger.! I'll hang onto the bits and hope to come across spares down the track
