Host Chris Barrie [from Red Dwarf fame] narrates this four-part series, first screened in 2009 on the National Geographic Channel.
Here is Episode Two - the 1920s. I include it because of the coverage of Atco Mowers. Barrie observes that the Atco was 'cleverly made' and that it "set the shape of mowers to come."
This is so true: Atco popularised the then new trend that mowers needed to be lighter and cheaper if they were to gain popular appeal.
The whole series is very watchable for machinery enthusiasts, and Barrie - himself - is a clear enthusiast.
