Hi All, would appreciate any info on identifying year and model no of this mower.
I would also like to know more about where it sits historically in the Victa production lineup. It's a two bladed side chute model with G35 2 stroke electronic ignition engine

This is the right place to ask. There are guys on here that are awesome with the model an engine numbers. I love these utilitys. They go from late 60s-70s to current but with this one having a power torque engine Instead of full crank I would say its 80s model. But you will know for sure when the pros see this post :-)

I found a few numbers for reference:
Engine Block - 72804Z & 099 90
Cylinder Head - 230
Air Filter Assembly - 440

Possibly it was made for export as the Caution stickers is in English, French, Spanish & German.
Hope this helps.

As it runs well and seems to need only minor fixes I'm thinking to make it my first restoration. Needs a new flywheel and cut height adjuster bracket so if anyone can help out please let me know.

Hi There its a 1990 model, thats what the 90 in the number means. I'm assuming you got the number from the block under the carby. It's a local model, Victa put the multi language stickers on just about all of their machines back then.

Thanks bigted, yes number is on the block under the carby. From what I've read here I'm assuming this is a 160cc engine, is that correct?

Definitely a 160cc. All the powertorque engines were. Keep an eye out at your local tip for one, they're generally fairly cheap and you can harvest the blade carrier and the height adjustment segment for it. Alternately your local mower shop should have a good 2nd hand blade carrier for about $10 and you can repair the height adjustment section with some welding and a die grinder. Joe Carroll may also be able to help with the height adjustment section. He's one of the gurus on this site and i believe is based in Leeton so you could either go out and pick one up or he could possibly post one out to you.
Good luck with the resto and keep us posted on your progress and any questions you may have.
