What a little ripper, In my opinion, that engine is a Series 70 Victa with the Zip starter, sometimes referred to as the Victa Power Unit.

Would love to get it running. Looked through the exhaust port and piston/rings look ok. Not getting any spark. So i think that it has points ign to be fixed. Can you tell me how to get to them?

125cc series 70. I'd like to know if that orignally came with that engine as that bracket doesn't have the best looking welds there. Plus the sliver gives it an appearance of not being that old. Just my thoughts anyway.
Here for a good time, not a long time.

Hi sgaws, I am not sure about that issue, as these engines are a 125 cc. multi-purpose engine, as a Power Unit, they can be used either vertically or horizontally. I don't know if the magneto could be retrofitted with the electronics? Maybe Joe Carrol, who owns one of these would know.

The points and condenser can be replaced with an electronic module, like https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/engines...cta-universal-electronic-ignition-module Don't think it would be possible to go to a G4 carb without at least changing the cylinder, though. Completely different carb mounting setup to the earlier models; then there's getting the G4 governor setup to work.
Cheers, Gadge
