Hi All I am located on the Gold Coast and would like to get a Scott Bonnar model 45 to restore. I have written a series of illustrated Children's stories on a magic mower called Mervin, and would like to write one about restoring a model 45 which I used to own when I lived in Adelaide. The first book has just been published and will be available on line at www.mervinthemagicmower.com.au from December 9, 2013. I would also be interested in hearing from anyone who has some tales to tell about their mowers.

Oh, I see, the mower is the bad guy. Crazy even . . . And Brum - the murderer - drowns the villain.
And that 'crazy mower' looked like the first Victa too. R.I.P. dear friend.
I can't wait to see the sequel . . . "Brum Comes A Brummer"
All very silly. ----------------------------------- JACK p.s.Mervin, I hope you find inspiration in these 'crazy' ideas. I hope Mervin/Scotty is the 'good guy' in your story though. There's nothing magic about the protagonist drowning.
Thanks to you Jack I have posted your clip on Mervin The Magic Mower's Facebook, which is public and also includes a lot of humorous poems about mowers and loads of photos. Mervin
Hi, I recently found 2 Scott Bonnar Vintage mowers which I think are from the 1950's, which I'm planning to restore shortly. Does anyone know anything about them, model number, year of manufacture, rarity etc. I'll post pictures of the restoration project as it progresses, if anyone is interested in seeing them. One mower is petrol and the other one is electric. Mark :-) I've tried posting pictures but it seems to be very complicated to do so.
Hi SchoolSavers, and a warm welcome to he forum. It is always nice to have another Scott Bonnar owner on board, as we all like to learn new things and tinker here.
Without photos of your machines we cannot help you, as we unable to ascertain what models you have..Scott Bonnar produced many models from 1928- 1983 prior to the take over by Rover Mowers Australia.
