chain saw and trimmer carb H jet setting

hi
i just want to know if this method of h needle setting
applys to all chain saws and trimmers?
with trimmers you close the H needle to where it peaks
then open it 1/8 of a turn and chain saws close the H
needle to where it peaks then open it 1/4 of a turn?

That is the best way of setting the high mixture screw that I have found in the past.
