My McCulloch FR44 Gas Trimmer suddenly lost spark. Got the neighbors old MAC 2816 Trimmer which blew up from the wrong gas-oil mix for the ignition-flywheel pick-up but need the air gap adj for this. Part nunbers in the ign module are the same. Tried different gaps but still no spark. Starting to think that mabey right and left gaps are different? Thanks in advance, Phil
Phil, If you use a bisness card that should be enough to set the air gap. Both legs on the coil should be the same. Also make sure that you have a good clean contact because if you have oil or grease on the earth contact that will cause it not to spark. If you need to contact me just do it through contact details on the website.
