Where have I seen this picture from before? Where these on eBay?Good work none the less it would appear the Scott Bonnars has a Victa starter on it.Would be keen on know which model it is. Magistor or non magistor. I think I spelt that wrong, very tied should be in bed.If it turns out to be no good and don't know what to do with it let me know.I need some parts for my two.Desperately need a muffler for one.

With a good clean up i dont think they will be to bad. They are pretty complete. Altho i noticed the scott bonnar has got "Scott Bonnar" on the frame behind the front axle why would that be?

Are you sure it's not there?I haven't received my 3rd mower yet,but I have noticed that the casting in that base is not as pronounced as much as my other two.Maybe even run your hand over it and see if you can feel it.If not I have no idea.

Yes they are.If you decide to see it off let me know.I'd say that one originally had the magistor, but I'd say it had the coil replaced. Also I'm curious as to why the cowl is gold and not green.Wonder if somebody painted it gold.

I'm guessing it may have been changed when the Victa starter was put on.Maybe it was easier to get hold of gold. It's not the same gold as the rest of the mower. I'm guessing that would be why.Not that who ever painted it was worried about colour matches, but the green is quite different to other greens.

At least you got something,lols...Clean that carby and get that top of and see if its all frozen, shell run looks like a great prospect this one, complete except its Magi.Definately from all our info it is a 35 201 series 3 magi going off the number. The casting is rough like my two and most others ive seen. Odd on the naming but pretty cool to have another variation of sorts. At least shes rigged up for use without the magi instead of being left to die...The starter I would have expected on the earlier models, but who cares, the Correct "SURE START" Version comes up on ebay every now and then. The Only other slight discrepency I could note is the length of the exhaust pipe..but really it hardly matters. Love It,Id like to restore this one as its mostly complete and the fact you got it too PFFFFFT and fart a little is enough for me to jump right in ..Good score i reakon. As you can also tell...I dont really care about the other 2...Lmao....Naaa just goofin...Good Haul

There are no stupid questions, only stupid people...lols. Naa it doesnt do anything its just there to look flashy haha Its basically an amplifier of sorts. It magnifies/strengthens the output from the Primary coil making it "Supposedly" a sure fire start under any conditions,A safety net if you will...But why not just put a bigger coil? theres more room under there than whats in the boot of my HT...So,NO IDEA...catchy sales point I guess. Can it run without the Magi..Erm I could be a clown and say no cause their would be nothing in between the coil and plug....lmao....Ive not tested for output or resistance so im unsure,BUT I did do a basic test without the magi ages ago and got spark,so maybee yes if the spark is strong enough ,but it is a very small primary unit., Another member here might know more about these specs.."WillingWorker". I was going to modify a viccy coil to suit but my magi works fine and my Series 1 model dont use one...If its all to much Ill take it off your hands....LMAO...

lol well i was testing for spark an touched the metal sleeve that goes over spark plug an i got a hell of a shock so iam guessin it should fire with out magistor. i will try to get it to fire tomorrow. i have another question to ask as you seem pretty knowledged on the 35s lol. what kind of oil an fuel ratio do they run?

Unfortunately all my brochures and texts dont give a fuel oil ratio,So I Couldnt tell you Of SB,s specific ratio,"Grumpy" might be able to tell you more precisely,But its just a normal 2 stroke so id use the ratio given by most manufaturers for the period of 25:1 I wouldnt lean it out really because of its age.So 25:1 should be just fine. As for your Jolt yeah it would still pack a punch its a coil! lols But seriously until you lift the lid you wouldnt know whats underneath,it may have the earlier engine/coil combo that never used the magister, might explain the starter too,who knows?.

Yeah thanks blue there is another member here that can tell you about the coils. Not just one here. There were two types. One with magister and one without. The one that didn't had it had a bigger coil. I will take some pictures and show the differents.

Ebay and Gum Tree are about it...Put it on and see...If its a runner would be good. But its missing its magi, wrong starter and no catcher, all this will amount to time and money..Id pay between 50 and 80 if it actully fires, not much but thats about what they are worth...Magi might get you more and a catcher who knows.I was willing to pay up to 300 for the one blumbly got,but im such a nice guy I didnt "GRASSCUT" him lols...And yeah stick to the Victas, they are much simpler and parts are easier to acquire...Im still trying to get another throttle control to finish mine after 2 years lols...

You could put it on eBay but I don't think it would get much interest. I just bought one off eBay for $30. I think if your going to sell it take blues offer as currently I can't even come close to that. On eBay you wouldn't even get that. Rare yes popular no. In fact I've met a lot of mower collectors and so far I only know of blue and myself that have any interest in these mowers. I don't have enough spares to make another complete one. Best of luck.

What Offer? It was a valuation Lmao. Im In Sydney So its outta the question for me,Sorry Nathan otherwise I would throw you the 50.00 .Would just not be cost effective to bring it up from melbourne...If you can verify the throttle control is accurate id give you a 20.00 so I can complete mine for the archives and put it away so i can play with my next project..59 Cyclops willys jeep in victa/Deep Brunswick green of course...funy how the jeep is a perfect match to the victa colour, lols, well they did get made a few suburbs apart. anyways im gibbering...pm me nathan if you want to donate me the throttle control as ill get in trouble for hustling here lols.
