I have a McCulloch Wildcat I bought new from HD years ago. It's been in storage for the past 5 years while I was living in AUstralia. I'm having a problem with spark. Seems sometimes I've got some, other times, nothing..... Manual which I still have has no diagrams or parts list, etc relevant to my problem. Now the questions.... WHere can I get parts for this thing (such as carby kit, coil-ignition module, etc)? What's causing my periodic spark issue? Should I toss it and get something newer? This is/was a great little chainsaw. Purchased 8/90 Serial 11-089621 Model 60016002
Kept me warm for a few winters....

Thanks in advance, Dave

Dave,
I have forwarded your parts list for the saw but I think you need to check that the coil has a good earth i.e. take coil off and clean where the coil touches the body of the saw. Also when replacing the coil use a business card for the air gap between the coil and the flywheel.

Hope that this will help you a bit to get good spark.

Thanks Bruce. I'll give it a try soon as I can get to work on the chainsaw again. I appreciate it. Dave
