Have you got any pictures of it.The engine number does match the VC-Sports number and it was made in 1977.Mark 4 would match the year. You are right with a remote primer there was no bulb on the carby. As for the one's I have pictured they are VC-Sports.There was a different variants of them.I haven't herd of what you are talking about so I would love to see some pictures of it.It does sound like a VC-Sports,Mustangs have different engine numbers such as 110,111 and so on.
Here for a good time, not a long time.

Still can't see it properly.Could you pull the camera back and maybe take some full shots of it.There to close to make any real judgements on it.

It's actually quite odd, Ive seen one of these before, but it was so long ago I'd forgotten they existed.
The Mustang 'S' actually looks more like a VC-Sports than a VC-Mustang.
Acording to my books, it's run was 76-78, and it was coded V207.
Series 70 MKIV 160cc Eengine, with a G4 carby, and the remote primer setup (also seen on some mustangs) To my knowledge it was not the power plus, but I will have another look tonight to see if i can pin that down more.
The chassis and cowl are that of a VC-Sports, with a darker green paint by memory, and a white dress cowl (as shown above)
I have a feeling the 'S' refers to Mustang "Sports" however that is unconfirmed.
Cheers Ty

Hi Dave, you're right there mate, it is really faded...however, one of our members here; willing worker (Grant) has been having great success at duplicating stickers and decals. You may care to send him a PM and see what he could do for you. Maybe then you could look for a serviceable cowling and replace the stickers...It would then come up a treat!

The cowling would be the same as a lot of others just the different sticker ? Had a few kicks from it but starter cup is so worn it wont pull properly. It seems to have a lot of compression, does that happen if the 'decomp' is not working ? Dave

Hi Dave, Joe Carroll or one of the Victa guys here will be able to advise on whether the cowlings are the same for that version of the Mustang...I once had a VC Sports that had the same white cowling as yours...It too, came to a sad end, the cowling was severely cracked! If the starter cup is worn, it would be a good idea to replace it.....I am sure Joe will jump in here re the decomp valve.

Defintately a vc sports cowling, in the meantime, if you gently pull the rope until it begins to catch on the starter cup then reef it, it will generally work somewhat better.

Thanks for that Joe, but I just wanted to remind Dave to post some pics of his machine when it is completed, It will be good for the archives, as it is an unusual model of the VC.
