Hi fellas, pls see the pic. In the middle of pulling my SB 17 inch apart to have it sprayed. Is there any secret to separating the sprocket/clutch plate from the clutch adjusting bracket/?? It seems well secured. I dont want to start with some gentle persuasion from a hammer just yet.

Ross,

Below is a picture of the parts list regarding the clutch that will fill you in on how it is assembled. This will help with the removal because if you have removed the centre bolt (which you appear to have done) then the sprocket should slide off without to much trouble providing you have removed the roll pin. cheers2

from your image you will need to gently pry the clutch plate between the sprocket and the rectangular piece of steel.

thats how i separated mine when i did the restore
