Today I was given a Victa 160cc Engine which I will be using for a restoration of a vintage Deltek-Deckson mini bike. I plan on fully rebuilding this engine i have been given, however i wouldnt have the slightest clue as to what engine variant this is.

I had a search through the forum to see if i could identify it myself first before posting this but did not have any luck.

Below are some picture of the engine. I had a good look over the engine to see if there was a stamp to say what engine type it was and only found the numbers '447406208' on the side of the crankcase and the number '72' on the bottom of the cylinder where is bolts onto the crankcase.

Can anyone tell me what type of engine this is?

1974 series 70 MKIII 160cc engine.

Traditionally this runs on the Victa G3 carburettor, and utilises a vacuum decompression valve. it is a port controlled 2-stroke, with mechanical ignition.

I can get the parts diagram up if needed, and the workshop manual for this one if you like is in the Victa section of the lawnmower manuals area.
