Hi all I'm new to all of this but it looks like fun. I "inherited" the SB 45 from my dad who passed away some 9 years ago, and he bought it second hand from a golf club. He was a keen gardener and had lawns at his place like putting greens thanks to the mower. I've had it sitting in my back yard for all those years with the idea of restoring it to as new. Well I finally got started over Easter. I have sourced a manual and can identify the parts I reckon I'll need. I can't find in the manual how to apply or what adhesive I need to replace the clutch lining on the gear sprocket in the cylinder roller, can anyone help.

Hi Chasa, welcome to Outdoorking. For cork clutch linings it's usual to glue them to the clutch member with ordinary contact cement.

You're welcome Chasa. We would welcome a thread in the SB restorations forum on your project, when you have some pictures of the machine in its initial condition. Then we can track your progress with the project, by watching your thread.

Hi Chasa, and a warm welcome to the forum. grin
It's great to have another Scott Bonnar owner on board.
I have just done a little research for you on this issue...Kwik-Grip is the way to go....use some wood on top of the cork and clamp it down and let the adhesive cure well. wink
Looking forward to your posts,
Once again Chasa, :welcome: to OutdoorKing.

I'll close this thread, since it is in the Introductions forum.
