This a pretty tidy old mower, i thought it deserved to be put up in here.

So far as presentation goes i have done nothing but wash it. A credit to the previous owner.
Wasnt starting and the crank seal was leaking.
Bore is good, set the valve clearances, the inlet had closed up.
Was recently serviced, oil looked new, so did the air filter.
Replaced the crank seal and put 4 new blades on it.
Washed it.
Now i have to lift the carb off the tank. It runs fine at high RPM but does not want to idle.

Well, that answers a question of mine, I got one of those catchers donated to me today, and now I know what it fits!

Cheers
Ty

here in the USofA vulcan made mowers under the trade-name "murray" after the factory in murray ohio where they were built.

It went to a new home this morning, $170.

I was asking $180, thats for a mower that if it looked like most did would have been $140. So for the extra $30 for someone elses hard work in looking after it for all these years, im not complaining.

They guy was excited to have a 'retro' mower in such good shape.
