Hi, I have an old victa that has been going really well. It is a side delivery with the black g4 carby.
I would like to pull the flywheel off to clean the points etc. How do I do this.
I have no spark at all. Have tried most things.
thanks jesse

jesse43,

If the starter is on the side then all you have to do is take off the cowling (Cover)it will have two nuts on the cylinder head and another three on the side. Once removed you will have access to the flywheel which will be held on with one nut (13/16") then just use two screw drivers to lift it off (the points are below).

Let me know if this information is not correct as I think you are talking about a Victa that has the starter on the side of the motor. woot

Hi Bruce, The mower has the starter on the top and I have got access to the 13/16" nut but cant budge it, it is very difficult to get any purchase on it. Is there a locking key on the mower.
thanks jesse

jesse,

If you use a scocket and bar you will need to hold the blade plate and hit the bar (when the socket is on the 13/16" nut) with a hammer to try to release the nut. bigshock
