Went down to the local tip today to take in the garbage (Outside councill truck runs, have to do it ourselves, but we get a free entry pass) and snuck down to the scrap metal pile on the way out.
Grabbed a rover utility base that might suit a friends needs, and an old, and rather mangled cortina, plus a stihl trimmer.
Any way, just pulled the cortina out and had a look, base is well and truely scrap, has a good fishtail muffler, great, i needed that, nice starter (wrong one though, Zip off a VC) reasonable wheels, cowls nice, another G3 for the...
...NO, wait, That's a full and original G2, linkages, cut-out system and all.
I've been hunting down a complete one of these for ages, found 2 incomplete ones at different times, seen a few pictures, but WOW.
I didn't even know the G2 had a cut out system, it's a wire that travels up with the throttle cable, and connects to a contact that connects with the throttle lever to kill!!!
I'll tidy it up, grab a few pictures, then get to work making a machine to suit, it came from a 1961 125cc cortina, which i might rebuild for the Job, or I might make it a corvette.
Cheers Ty

The MTD was not what he was after, It's still down there, and He will be bringing it back up soon, when I have it back, I will put it aside, and you can have it back if you like next time I see you.
Otherwise I'm sure I can find it a use or a good home, but I myself dont have a need for it as such.
That was a G2 flag Alright, I just had to save my penny's for the VC-125, which ended up going $11 over my initial budget, I won it, so It's a good thing i saved those penny's.
I will get some photo's up in a bit, I have just finished restoring the G3, so it's looking allot better now.
Just need to work out what to build for it.
Cheers Ty

Well, I've worked out what I'm doing.
Salvagine most of the engine from this mower seems like it will be easy enough, and i will combine that with one of my other cortina's to re-create the original mower.
I found my camera today, so pictures tonight!
Cheers Ty
