Hi guys after this weeks hard rubbish run.Not so good this week. However I did get a mower that I was looking for.Not quite the right model, but at least it's something I can and will use. Here are the pictures of the findings. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2011/07/full-5048-2132-100_3226.jpg) The usable mower.Very happy with this one. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2011/07/full-5048-2133-100_3227.jpg) The same mower just with top parts off. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2011/07/full-5048-2134-100_3228.jpg) and a McCullough wiper sniper. Not the greatest week end. Will just have to see what the future brings.
Here for a good time, not a long time.

That VC-160 is the 1972 MKIII Model.
How is the engine? And whats its serial?
Should be able to work out if it's the original engine, Sure looks to be!
Cheers Ty

Yep, MKI & MKII Have a hook shape to the bottom of the handles, And a crescent shaped latch.
MKIII has the straight lower handle bars, and smaller hook shaped latches.
Also, I can just make out the end of the height adjuster, the little black handle on the lever is smaller and rounder than a MKI & MKII

Yep, That's a MKIII, no doubt about it!
It still has the corect parts code on the air filter too! V111 (MKI = V80, MKII = V96 & MKIII = V111)
They are the 1972-1973 Model, Powered by a Series 70 MKII 160cc Engine, Whitch has the G3 Carburettor.
I notice the Decompression Valve is missing in one of the Photo's, You need the first type, I beleve there are 5 different decompression valve styles, Yours needs the larger, deeper bowl, on the longer stem, Held shut with 3 Clips.
Update: Sorry, there are 6 different styles of victa decompressor valve!

These are the types:
1) Long stem, Deep Bowl, Clips (Series 70) 2) Long Stem, Shallow Bowl, Clips (Series 80) 3) Long Stem, Shallow Bowl, Sealed (Series 70/80 Replacement) 4) Short Stem, Shallow Bowl, Clips (Early Powertorque) 5) Short Stem, Shallow Bowl, Sealed (Later Powertorque) 6) Long Ribbed Stem, Flat Bowl, Sealed (starting to come out now)
I can help you work out what you have, 1,2 & 3 are interchangeable, as are 4 & 5, however, to get the restoration perfect, you need to know what was original.
Cheers Ty
