Jeffery, the one Jonno is describing would have a G4 Carby, Facing Backwards with the hose out the same side as the old G3 types.

I would suggest considering it, its part of the family, and the remote primer ones are beccoming uncommon in good nick.

Don't worry I will.Still only new to these types of mowers.I only sort of know what I want.

This is the second phase for this mower, it's sort of in-between state.

Its not a bad peice to get now for your collection, especially if you are trying to re-create the VC-Mustang family.

It will leave you with only 2 others to consider to get all 4, and the 4th is common, so this takes out one of the trickier ones.

We dont get hard rubbish here Wouldnt say no to a couple of newer non running mowers, I want some of my old goldies to go to a home where they will be brought back to life... There are a few I want to keep but I will compile a list of whats possibly available later.

Sounds fair to me, I actually have one here that you can have if you like, its A steel base victa craftsman, Powertorque, dead, but in ok shape, i would say 1995 - 1999 maybe.

hi bumbly, i think the photo is up already??? its in my post, let me know if you need more! im not looking to become a millionaire from the mower, if you want you can have that mower and the second that has been gutted (also a vc, base is cracked, motor is ok i think, handles, no catcher though) for 50 bux.

I think the main issue is just with the catch flap, My godfather gave it to me, said it was working when it was last asked to, so perhaps a good clean, a service, and some repairs to the catch flap (i don't think there is any rust on this one)

a deckson mower with a rare 5hp briggs, I would love to see have some tlc and brought back to life (1970's) I do have a couple of fuel tanks and carbs for it.


A corvette 2, with spare cowling. Starter was very lazy on this, I am sure it would turn out ok, I already have one in great condition with catcher to keep for myself....


A rather sad old low rch, with custom coke bottle air filter and home made muffler. I rescued it from a scrap pile many years ago.



Victa high arch silverstreak, the deck is pretty good, if you guys dont want it I will keep it as the base is the same as my power plus victa with a stuffed base.

ANyhow I will now open a topic in the off topics area with my small collection of junk...

So I take it you don't have any pictures of the green mustangs you were talking about?

I only ever had one green top mustang sorry, it was well beyond salvageable, I think I might have kept the starter and engine. the cowling and base looked like they had been mowing sand with it for years on end.

Here's a few closeups of the one i acquired the other day.

The Dress cowl is buggered, it has the wrong cooling cowl (Series 80, with the Ignition cutting) the filler cap has experienced ethanol, and its just all around unhealthy, but a good candidate for parts.

sorry mate, i have been away for the holidays and just came back for the day and then ill be back late next week, so im sorry i have ot posted the photos up. Ill quickly take a few photos now and try put them up.

ok, i have taken as many photos as i could of the cracks that are there (plastic cowl crack and catcher cracks) and all seem repairable without too much fuss. there is also a photo of the second mower that was used as a donor (probably could be made into another mustang but would not be anywhere near as good as this one.

Just trying to be as transparent as possible.
