im am currently attempting to put a 125cc victa engine onto a (push) bike.if anyone has any ideas or has done this before i would really appreciate any information. i will probably not be using a clutch on this too save money.
i know the carby must be parallel with the ground bit this is inconvenient. is it possible to use a length of pipe to connect carby to intake port?? will it still run etc??
any ideaz would be greatly appreciated

macca,

hey mate. I am currently building a scooter with a whippy snippy engine, so heres a few tips for you.

- Yes it is possible to connect carb via flexible tubing. but in doing so you will run into problems, such as being a F**ker to start as the fuel has to get much further than it used to, to enter the cylinder. possible fuel pooling and wall wetting/coagulation may occur depending on tubing type and material.

- strongly recommend the use of a clutch. whether you are going sprocket drive or direct tyre drive, it is a must, if only for safety. a max-torque clutch for a victa is like 80-100A$ brand new, and like 40 second hand, so affordable at the end of the day.

you know on most victas you can rotate the cylinder 180 degrees by unbolting and turning around, would this help? and if your piston has no skirt cutouts, even rotate 90 degrees, problem solvered.

hope this helps.

sharp.
