I just bought a Victa Mustang 850 model number MCA489 fitted with the Briggs and Stratton 850 I/C engine. Definitely the V8 of the mower world and a massive improvement on my Honda powered Victas. Massive torque and an ability to mulch with little effort where the Honda mowers bog down. I think B&S need to do some better marketing because the old myth that Hondas are better is no longer true.
The only issue I had was finding one of these MCA489s as they were a limited run. I drove two hours to get mine - worth every minute and every dollar.
I wonder if this engine can go on the Victa Corvette 700 in place of a GCV160? BTW these engines are available via fleabay etc for mid 300s.
