Hiya Punks. I finally had the guts & the time to dismantle this thing.
Today was mechanicing day!!
Unfortunately you have to take the whole $#@(* thing apart down to nuts and bolts to get this one stripped bolt out!

Ah well. I now have a bucket-o-chainsaw - and I will try to get a new plastic starter rotor for it.
Made in Canada - every piece branded proudly.
The thing is really beautiful to dismantle - not much plastic in it at all. Very cool machine.
The plastic piece that was stuffed was the starter pulley - often these get fragged out in all small engines.

I did wash a cricket ball sized lump of sawdust off the machine with my 'dirty parts wash petrol' today. Yuk.
Catch ya later - will post progress on how to buy the parts.
