New Poulan 260 Pro chain saw, just purchased. It will idle for about 5 to 10 seconds then cut off. Can some one please tell me how to adjust the idle speed. There is carb. adjustments one is red and the other is white. The manual doesn't tell which one is low idle, or how to adjust for idle.
John, You need to take off the plastic on the adjustment screws then adjust the 'L' screw back off from bottom 1 1/4 turns then the 'H' screw back off 1 turn. This is the basic setting.
