Hi Mario, and a big warm welcome to the forum. grin
There should be a small brass plate attached to the mower frame that will give you the model and mower serial number.

Bonmow was part of the Scott Bonnar range in the late 50's and early 60's and made in Adelaide.
I have never seen one the same as your machine, but from the pic I would guess that it's a 14" model with a Villiers motor.
I will try and do some research for you. wink

Hey Mario,
I have what I think is the same machine as yours. The Brass plate on mine reads 'BM 09304', perhaphs the BM reffering to Bommow??? My machine has a little Villiers 2-stroke powering it which I think is a Junior-Deluxe and was manufactured in 1958. I think the engine originally had a kick start or crank handle to turn it over??

And for the record....this little engine is a gem! The most user friendly, reliable two-stroke I've ever played around with. Good on you Villiers....the legacy lives on.

Hi Mark_x11, and a big warm welcome to the forum! yay
It's great to have another Scotty afficianado onboard.
I think you are spot on with the BM referring to Bonmow.
Glad to hear that your Villiers is running so well, and yes mate, they don't make 'em like that anymore!! cry

Hey Darryl, great to hear from you.
This Bonmow is my first restore, but rest assured it is of the pain-staking, wife-leaving you kind of variety...heheh.
I've got all the original bits too, including intact, unbroken 'Scott Bonnar' hand grips and a non-Villiers style air filter/strangler mounted up on the first brace of the handle bars. Lots of brass, a bit of cork....but not a trace of plastic...they sure don't make em like this anymore!

Hey Craig, we would all love to see some pics as you go along with your restoration....
Glad to see that you have all the original bits for it, the Scotty rubber grips (in good nick) are almost impossible to find these days wink
