Hello SB Obsession!
These look like well-made catchers, perhaps better than originals.
I note that the shape is not 'exactly' as a 45 would be, with a sharper angle at the bottom. I was wondering whether this was deliberate - for strength?
All very interesting. ------------------------------------ JACK.

My step father copied a damaged catcher that I had so I suppose it may not be perfect. They are made out of 0.8mm material which is thicker than original. I will check over the weekend with my original catcher.

It would be deliberate, but not so much for strength. It's just that using hand/basic techniques, a line fold is a lot easier to form in sheet metal, than an accurate small radius bend. A bit like the side panels - SB press formed these with a raised centre, to add rigidity to light gauge metal. Very hard/time consuming to duplicate by hand.
A very professionally done repro, all the same.
Cheers, Gadge

Do you think it's possible to make a Scott Bonnar model 35 catcher? Like this one. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2015/03/full-5048-20887-102_0257.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2015/03/full-5048-20888-102_0258.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2015/03/full-5048-20889-102_0259.jpg)

Blumbley I think my Step Dad Dennis could make one the only problem is he would need a template to go off. Once he has that he can start reproducing them. Your in Brisbane which Suburb? If you like you can give me a call.

Hi all I have the first 2 catchers we made which we riveted the catcher to the frame 1 x 14" and 1 x 17" we are letting these go for $100 each if there is anyone interested. The new catchers are spot welded more like the original. Hi Jason, not sure if your still selling the catchers. I'm looking for a 14" Scott Bonnar Bonmow 19 catcher.
Thanks Chris
