Good day everyone.
I’ve recently bought this little gem. It’s in pretty decent condition, though a few things missing / unclear.

I’ve looked through the manuals I was able to find and seem to me, they used to have a brake for the cutter. I’ve seen some photos on this forum, where there is an extra spring attached to the lever, which I believe would engage the similar brake assembly on the cutter pulley, that it is for the driving brake? Looking at mine, no such assembly exist. Any more details on it would be highly appreciate.

Mine is also missing a belt keeper assembly so if anyone would be able to take some photos of how that looked would be great, as I will need to make something (now pretty much every time you disengage cutter the belt falls off).

I will also need to make a new front sticker as current is only half there and someone painted over it.

Thanks for any help
Cheers, Beau

Hi Beau,

Not sure if you've seen these images here on page two and if they will help.LINK BELOW

I've had a few old ride on mowers where when you lift the deck there is brake material up under the mower that comes
into contact with the pulley when the cutter assembly is lifted.

It would be handy if you can find someone with the same mower to get better images.

Hey Max.

Thank you so much for this. I see this was a simple L shaped assembly with brake pad that pressed on the pulley. Seems easy enough to replicate.

Hey all. A bit of tinkering today and we’ve got a functional deck brake. Had a some spare brake pads from another project and some springs. I think the car brake pad material is softer than it should be but so far so good.

Cheers
