Hi all Mick here,
Thought I would finally join and show off my lovingly manipulated 20" Scott Bonnar Mod 17 supercut with a Villiers donk for authentic tractor sound, smoke puffs and pull.
I purchased this at a garage sale for $40 as "it didn't work" I took it home, cleaned the carb and she fired up on the 3rd pull.
The catcher looked like it had a head on and lost, so was beaten out and the whole thing given a nice coat of paint.
I am not entirely sure what Villiers I have mainly as I don't know how to read the mod number (Mark 412 H2 RG)
She has been providing loyal service for the last 5yrs and may have sourced a second Villiers to keep the dream alive for many years to come.

Mickel,

We have the parts list for that model Scott Bonnar which has 3 Villiers motors fitted to it and the model engine that you have quoted is one of them.

I think that you might still be able to get parts for it. cheers2

Hi Mick, and a big warm welcome to the forum, As a Scotty addict myself, it's great to have you onboard. yay
Congrats on you machine, they were the Rolls-Royce of cylinder mowers in there day, and almost unbreakable!!
I too have a Model 17 Supercut but it is the electric (240V) version. Parts should not be a problem. wink
cheers2

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
I really love my old girl and she has been faithfull to me for it.
I have lined myself up for another Villiers engine as parts or just a stationary do-er up-er for the time being.
I also just missed out on a Scotty/Rover 45 at the tip, but the fella working there scored it....... complete with catcher. It is amazing what some people throw away.

Well poop.... I went outside this arvo to find the young fella playing with the mower, of course he undid the idle mix screw....
So with that can anyone tell me the base line setting for B10 Villiers carb?
He must of been attracted to the shiny brass. grin
