Hi,
Just after a little guidance here. I'm in the process of restoring a few old Deutscher ride ons & have purchased a new GXV 390 as most of the old GV 400s are getting a bit long in the tooth. I've come to a stop trying to work out the wiring. Motor came with 3 wires for hook up, onefrom solenoid for the starter which I've hooked up & a red one from rectifier 7 another from not sure where. red is obviously a charge so does this go back to battery? Cant trace the other back as it disappears behind starter. Please forgive my ignorance but I'm at a dead end, Honda manual doesn't help.

Hi AL57.
As you say, one from the starter to the solonoid, red goes to the battery and the black will be the kill switch wire.

Thanks Norm, just needed a bit of reassurance. Didn't want to cook the electrics. So the the black just needs a switch to earth to kill the motor? Will post a pic once finished. One down, three to go.Many Thanks,Al

Yes Al, best if you use a momentary off switch if possible prevents you leaving it switched off next time you go to start it
