Aloha dheaton you might want to open up the carb and check your needle valve it might not be opening up so fuel can get in also try check the diaphram if its hard it might not be pulsating if you choke it fires runs and then dies try the needle valve if it looks low try opening it even with top of base in carb dont open it up too much it will flood out you can spray some carb cleaner on the screen side and check the flow from there try let me know if i made any sence take care aloha shane
