I need help to identify this old Victa Utility lawnmower of it's history, year, model, engine (2-Stroke?), Oil/Fuel Ratio, carburetor type, etc. I just bought this through Facebook for $20. I think this is a great project for restoration for my YouTube channel "Varietech". I believed this is a G3 type carburetor if I'm not wrong but I'm not sure what is the broken part off the carby hanging off the wire. I appreciate for any inputs. See attached photos. Thanks.
Thanks for the info! Yes It sounds 2-Stroke when I pulled the starter. I'm wondering where is the decompressor valve? How is the throttle cable connected and how this broken wire (applicator) function (stop switch?)? I believe the wing on the top of the carburetor is for air vent (governor) but trying to figure out the throttle connection and this broken wire contact. Thanks.
It's interesting to find out how the decompression works on this type of mower. I have a spare G3 carby which I can see where the broken part was. I'm still trying to figure out how this kill switch works and how and where is the contact. Attached spare G3 photos.
The contacts are the 2 brass parts in the connector. There is a plastic spring you can't see when it's assembled, that normally holds them out of contact. 'Earthing' connection is via the throttle cable inner, to outer, to cable clamp on the carby body.
Cheers, Gadge
