Ok really long bow here but does anybody know anything about these machines?
I haven't pulled the carby off to have a look but I was told it did fire up with a bit of fuel down the carby.
I think trying to find a new carby for it would be near impossible.

Hi Norm,

The Wacker should have an id plate ,so you can find the right carby for this model easier.

Looks like a well known brand made in USA should be easy to get a carby or rebuild kit fort the carb.

Cheers
Max.

Thanks Max,
Wacker Neuson googles up as what it probably is but Neuson does not appear on the ID plate so this machine is obviously manufactured before Neuson became involved

Hi Norm and all,

Wacker Neuson have their Headquarters in Germany and the first foreign affiliate was established in 1957 in Hartford (Wisconsin, USA).

History Here, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wacker_Neuson

The Neuson name is not on every id plate.

It's just labeled Wacker Corporation on some id plates but it's still from Wacker Neuson .

Cheers
Max.

I guess they might have been called that speedy, we did use them at times when we dug trenches across roads and they were very effective at packing it down but I think this one is older than any I ever used. Carby is nothing like I have seen before and nothing like the one Max posted, guess I'm going to modify something to fit. No idea what cc the motor is so I can fiddle with carby ideas

Thanks Max,
looking at the prices on the carbs I think the Wacker will be going to the Scrapper, can't see my mate wanting to spend $573.24 plus postage on a Bing carby

Probably a lot cheaper to buy the carby from Wacker Neuson , if you have id numbers Norm.
