Hello all,

It all adds up now Gizmo. It is a "WESMO" from WA.
The Western Motor Co of 772 Wellington Street, Perth, were mainly automobile
agents, but they also imported and distributed agricultural machinery.

The Wesmo, I think, was inspired by two of their British products -
the Auto Culto and the Hayter rotary slashers.

The Wesmo is like a Howard Farmette in that it could be converted to
do a number of different jobs.

This particular machine - with the little Trojan - is truly remarkable.
The Wesmo in the advert. dates from 1953-54.

I have not been able to find this exact version of the Wesmo.
Finding a build date would be of some importance to rotary history - because
it is possible that it pre-dates Victas!!

Is it possible that this machine could be the first Australian-made, petrol-
powered, rotary mower?

A vary rare and dangerous little critter.

All very interesting.
