Looks like they have made an entire catcher out of metal - wonder how well it works

They probably just kept on having to patch it up until there was no plastic left.

Victa should have just made them out of metal in the first place.

Its a shame they didn't MF, or at least make them out of the plastic used later.

Maybe over here in WA I think the sand erodes the alloy decks early on, as I have found several good catchers and have put them in the shed for safe keeping.

One has been converted to a "twin grip" catcher - they drilled 2 holes through the back and tied a rope through it haha

I wouldn't mind attaching an old handle off a saucepan or rubbish tin lid onto the back of a single grip thumb latch catcher myself.

I used an length of old USB cable to do a makeshift handle for the rear flap of my SupaSwift beater by threading it through the holes for the missing handle.
It's far better than no handle at all I give you the drum.
