I think the black ones are the short ones, if you are going to use it then you need to make sure the float doesn't hit the tower when the float is fully raised. All I can say is why bother with the plastic rubbish when there is a better product out there to be had, previously I had to deal with the plastic junk that had a 90% failure rate.
