I learnt a trick from an American YouTuber for setting the gap. Cut a strip of cardboard the thickness of a business card a tiny bit longer than the magnets and about 1 cm wide and place it between the coil and magnets on the flywheel before tightening up. Then you simply pull it out from one end and voila! Gapping complete. I used a section of Weetbix packet. Starts first pull.
Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
