Yes they're a fantastic mower - if only they didn't change the poor design to what it is today! I did one up last year using one of Norm's reconditioned full cranks as the engine developed a weird ignition problem even though the coil worked on another engine. The old engine still sitting in the shed until I have time to look into what the cause was. The self propelled system was missing but the alloy base was a breeze to use & cut through 3ft tall grass easily - I really missed handing it back to the owner...
The biggest difficulty would be finding one - any Victa like that are rare as hens teeth down here & if one comes up they sell for over $300.
The other difficulty is the risk of it being run on straight petrol as most people have been running Hondas for the past 10 years now.
