I'm glad Ian has preserved this one.
The Henley and then the New Henley sold well here,
but are almost forgotten.

The Henley company I find fascinating.
Henley's main claim to fame were good ... roller skates.
They also made bicycles...

I hope I can tell their story in 2017.
It's fantastic to see a restored one.

I agree with freebird - about the lack of collectors interested in
side-wheels - and old mowers in general.

The colour scheme is not so un-original.
The Americans were marketing showmen, and any marketing device
that made a side-wheel stand out on the hardware floor became common.
Bright colours were common - sometimes with pin striping.

That's an interesting point you make Norm.
There must be truth in that. The vast majority of Australians
only acquired their first power mower in the 1950s and '60s.
