Thank you kindly Blumbly. I will keep looking in the meantime. The person I bought the "Auto Push" off said it is a 1972 model and he got it at a garage sale with the self propelled system already removed. That suits me as I like the industrial look of those rear wheels without the added weight and complication of the system. I quite like the non standard starter and unorthodox positioning. I might leave it that way. The deck is in (very)good shape and it is a sturdy unit with nice (almost) rust free handles. Starts easy but stays on one rev level (no throttle control) and doesn't stop!!
Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
