Don't like your chances, unless you can find a 'backyarder' repairer.
Your best bet, if you need edger-specific parts, is to keep an eye out on Gumtree/eBay for a donor machine. And on nature strips, if your area has hard rubbish pickups.
Which model is it - there have been a few, from the full-crank Tilt-a-cuts onwards.
