G'day Ian
That's interesting and I appreciate it.
I know our engineer, MOD Gadge, has been critical of some oils.
Like all products, penetrating oils are subject to marketing puffery,
with no real relationship to the cost of the ingredients. It's just BS,
like pricing of household cleaners at the supermarket.
I would like to clarify a point.
Was the ATF/Acetone mix part of the test?
In other words, is this the actual result:-
Penetrating oils .......... Average torque load to loosen
No Oil used .................. 516 pounds
WD-40 ..................... ... 238 pounds
PB Blaster .................... 214 pounds
Liquid Wrench ..............127 pounds
Kano Kroil .................... 106 pounds
ATF/Acetone mix..........53 pounds
