I am toying with the idea of totally rebuilding a full crank (110770)that I got off a VC Mustang MK III.The chassis is a right off and the engine may well be too due to it having water in it. I have the engine pulled down as far as it will go due to there being so much crap in the casing. Cause of the state of the engine is why I have decided to make this my first rebuild so no great loss if it is a dud. I have alot more questions than answers and when I mean alot I mean alot. First question is about the piston, is a Power torque the same? (My engine does not have the alloy rod). The first thing I will do is hone the bore to see how it scrubs up then I will go from there. If anyone is interested I will put some pics up but am going away to the boss's this weekend so am a bit short on time today.
