G'day Jack and thanks for the welcome. I'll be back to the history forum soon I have been wandering around the site and it sure does have a lot on offer. I hope to be able to give help as well as learn from fellow site members.
Why Simplicity? Well, I wanted a ride on mower. It had to be affordable. Reliable. Quality. Repairable and nostalgic. I ended up seeing a few Simplicitys on evilbay. After much googling around they seemed to fit my criteria and one thing led to another.....I love how old machinery is made to be rebuilt not disposed of and so many parts are rebuildable. I was also taken back by the amount of attachments that could be bought for them or easily fabricated. They used an easily adaptable 3 point hitch set up and a simple pulley PTO drive. Do you have an interest in garden tractors as well?
I can see one problem with this site, sure enough it will get to me and I'll be the proud owner of at least a nostalgic reel mower.
