I must admit, I believe you made the right decision for a sensitive restoration.
We now have Al's beautiful fully restored machine as a record; and now your part-
restored machine. It doesn't get any better than this in vintage mower history!
Paul, your observation here is also significant.
The Turner engineers referred to this base as 'the Carter Base'.
This confirms the link between the first Turners and the Carter.
I wonder what 'arrangement' James Kirby and Rene Turner made to make this happen?
All very significant.
