Hello ODK History Lovers

Here is a classic WEBB brochure from the 1970s.
I say 'classic' because the brochure adopts a certain 'Western' theme. Say no more ...

Another classic theme is in the availability of the traditional Webb push reel-roller mowers:
the highly alliterative Whippet, Wasp and Witch.

Not all these lawnmowers came to our shores, but a number did.

Note the availability of the electrics - in mains and battery variants.
Also, the 14" and 18" Standards, and the De-Luxe versions with their easily detachable cutting units
(not quite a cassette system). The biggest reel mower offered was the 24" machine. Also note the
Little Wonder trimmers - all of American origin.

The biggest surprise is the Windsor Rotoscythe rotary-roller mower. These carry on the engineering
DNA tradition of the original Rotoscythes of 1932 (by Power Specialities) and the Shay Rotoscythe.
They reinforce the UK's love-affair with that form of rotary. The Aspera engine is a licensed Tecumseh.
These machines were not sold on our shores.
