Replace the fuel filter in the tank and remove the muffler and have a check to see if the exhaust port is clear of carbon.

Then try to start without the muffler on. If it starts then you could have a blocked muffler or screen in it.

Also check for scoring on the piston & cylinder.

Try this stuff first and let me know be fore we further. cheers2
