Your machine is interesting in that it started life as a Scott Bonnar Model 47 with a Model 201, 2 stroke engine. These machines were first introduced on the 1st August 1964 and manufactured at the Thebarton factory in South Australia.
At some stage, a previous tenant has replaced the 2 stroke with the electric motor which would
not (in my opinion) have performed its grass cutting duties as well as the petrol engine.
Various other modifications are not original, but all in all, make for an interesting machine, though not as a collectors piece.
