If it was the points/condenser would it have run like it did for a few minutes when I changed the carby? Didn't check the top seal but will check. One thing I did notice was that the fuel in the fuel tank had small bits of grass/trash in it, nothing major but there was a little there. Is it possible that when the mower ran till it ran out of petrol it picked up some of the trash off the bottom of the fuel tank and created a blockage in the carby?
