Thanks James....A heater in the Shed...Ahh thats what Im missing... My man cave would be complete!
Agro,Well the trick is,When youve worked your fingers to the bone...The what you do is go and get someone elses hands and work them to the bone and so on! Naaaaa
This aint even finished yet,got to do a final polish. I use a buffing wheel on a grinder I have 3 types, and use around 5 types of compound. Rouge to finish and then a polishing cloth. It will take ages to explain, but You cut, fist, then polish then finish, this is for smooth cast. rough cast. No cut just polish and turps to finish then a final polish...And yes I still have all my fingers intact.
Liquid polishes dont work for a high shine.Friction polish only. No chemicals will shine although alloy acid will assist if used correctly, and helps make the base for a good start. Sand blasting BUT with fine grade and i mean FINE or soda blasting can give a resonable platform to start with as can ultra sonic. This is Poviding the metal still retains its original casting lustre. If not...Its Friction polish ONLY....And yeah it takes time to get good results.
