Well just a bit of an update. I found a little easier way using my method and a bit of Blumblys method combined.
If you find it difficult to get the top clip on with the long nose pliers and screwdriver, then
1/ Install muffler with bottom clip on.
2/ Line up the bolt for the bracket and tighten it up all the way. This will hold the muffler in place and bottom clip shouldn't fall out.
3/ Now use flat blade screwdriver and long nose pliers method for the top clip, this will be almost no effort to lever the top clip on.
4/ Take out the bolt and your done.
I found that this way there is a lot less force required to install top clip.
